Scotland travel: Culzean Castle Experience dining room Scotland travel: Culzean ("Cull-ane") Castle Experience dining room. The food was good, but a lot has to do with the presentation. From their web site, we were expecting "the dining room" as shown in the picture on their web site, not convention center accoutrements in a spare room upstairs. The 35 pound (more than $70) per person dinner (adult OR child!) was good food but could be avoided as a major dining goal, since there is no "castle" dining atmosphere. Scotland travel: Culzean Castle Experience views at sunset Scotland travel: Views from our room at Culzean Castle. Spectacular sunlit clouds at sunset! Good thing we were allowed to photograph and video our rooms and outside the castle. We were surprised to learn that guests of the castle, staying in the Eisenhower Apartments, are not permitted to wander about the rest of the castle after business hours. During normal operating hours, guests are allowed to take the conventional tour of the castle, which anyone 'off the street' can take. No photos or video was allowed inside the castle (other than in the Eisenhower apartments), for reasons unknown.
